How to Entertain your Dog, playing with Laser!

My dog will chase anything that moves! But his favorite must be chasing a laser. You can buy these cheap little laser pointers just about everywhere now, but be careful not to shine it directly into your pets eyes! Remember that this is all done with close adult supervision.

My friends kids call this 'my dogs remote control' because you can make the dog do whatever you want! Good entertainment for a cold day when you don't want to take your dog outside.

How to Entertain your Dog, Bubbles!

It's not like we do this every day! I'm sure eating bubbles is not healthy, but he does not actually catch very many of them, so I think it's okay. This is a very popular one with the kids.

How to Entertain your Dog, Fetching Snow

Rhubarb and I went on a cross country ski trip near Mt Rainier. Rhubarb loves fetch, so why not fetch snowballs? With over 10,000 views we must be doing something right?

How to Entertain your Dog, idea #27

Our next video we shared with the world was Dog vs. Toy. My dog LOVES wind up toys and he gets so excited that he can't control himself.

Again, this was done with close adult supervision. Don't give your dog anything that he might choke on.

How to Entertain your Dog, idea #47

This was the video that started it all. My dog loves balloons so I shot a short video with my point and shoot camera. Even though it only lasted about a minute, I edited it to make it look like it took all day. Of course you should not ever leave your pet unattended with a balloon! Do I really need to say that?

Of course this video took off and Rhubarb became an overnight Youtube celebrity. From this video he has gotten fan mail and questions from around the world.

About my Dog

My dog 'Rhubarb' lives with us in our Beacon Hill home in Seattle. He is a wonderful but quirky pet who needs a lot of entertainment. I adopted him from the animal shelter about 8 years ago when he was about 6 months old and quickly realized that I was going to have my hands full coming up with ways to keep him out of trouble.

I'm starting this blog to share some of our ideas and experiences with others who may need help and ideas when it comes to entertaining their pets.
